Three Hornblower fics that I've beend struggling to write for almsot six months at this point, and ;lkgj;ldkfjghdfadf.
The Kind Heart: 65% done. Bush/Maria. Yes, I know. But in my head, it was awesome. This fic by [livejournal.com profile] randomalia says everything that I wanted to say, and far, far more.

Three Things that Never Happened to Horatio Hornblower: the Future: 15% done. Horatio Hornblower future crackfic. A couple weeks ago, I made this icon as an attempt to jumpstart this damn thing, but failure! Failure!

Five Things that Never Happened to William Bush: Richard Arthur: 45% done. The first part is totally G. The last part, the part that I can't write because I just can't write that much social interaction stuff, is NC-17. And may squich you if you have cross-generation squicks.

Looking at your unfinished stories is weird, because it just shows how blindingly differently we write.

Well, I do the brackets thing when I need to skip over something (far less often than you do) to get stuff written, but mine usually reads something like [insert porn music here] or [stuff goes boom]. Not all poetic and shit.

Yes, this is what I talk about when I know next to nothing about your fandom.

It's a shame that you can't finish it, but the Bush/Maria *would* be awesome, not just in your head.

These are all awesomeness. And it's really interesting seeing how you write -- I don't tend to use brackets but I do write with lines and phrases that I later have to work into something, like you have here. That's pretty much all I start with (and it's oftn the last line of the fic).

I want to give you more specific feedback on the RA piece because I think it's astounding nd wonderful, so I will go look at it again.
