All of which is to say that my reaction to this fic pretty much encapsulates everything I feel so far about the fandom: it's sharp, it's smart, it's well-written, there is that proper edge of violence and ruthlessness about Fire Nation morality, except wait, so Zuko is all in a bother because Iroh says to break waterbender fingers, except Zuko fancies Katara?
NO IT MEANS THAT HE WANTS TO BREAK KATARA'S FINGERS THEN HAVE SEX WITH HER DUH OH GOD I WANT HOT ANGRY SIBCEST WITH ELECTRICITY PLAY.
