... OK, and now I want completely gratuitous fic about "Dis is not your master. I am your master under oaths on the sacred standards of the 13th" and "No man is beyond redemption. Not even you."

(It goes without saying, though, that I love "Have you ever been bit by a Moray eel?" And Cleopatra makes me dance with ninety seven different kinds of delight, as does the much-commented-upon banquet scene of writhing jealousy. AND TIMON'S HOME LIFE OMG. AAHAHAH AND I'LL SUCK YOUR COCK." And Octavian not being able to stand up to Antony, physically, but clocking him and getting into a fight with him nonetheless. And how heterogenous and international Roman society was.

Can you tell there is very little about this show that does not delight me?

that slideshow is quite nifty. i'm so gonna make an icon out of the forum shot with the ping pong table. reminds me of the time when i asked to design a set that would look like a real roman street and the director was disappointed when i didn't have any columns.
