- Jar Jar Binks still motherfucking sucks. Holy God.

- I know I'm suppsoed to think that Anakin/Padme is lame as hell, but really, it makes more sense to me than it should

- Anakin is a lot better than I was led to believe, man. Sure, Hayden isn't hte best actor in the world, but there're some pretty amazing bits in there -- the stuff about wisdom and Obi-Wan holding him back, the stuff where he's riding on the little larval-type cow beast, the way he asks Padme about her first kiss (?) and then cuts her off. Sure, there's some stuff to complain about with, but MAN. The seeds are there for total amazing awesomeness.

- Padme/Anakin. Surprisingly interesting. My brain isn't up to processing it more fully than that, but my God, who would've thought that Darth Vader's early-life larval stage had him as such a raging bottom?

- HOLY GOD THAT IS A BUST OF QUI-GON THAT OBI-WAN IS STARING SOULFULLY AT HOLY GOD HOLY GOD HOLY GOD HOLY GOD SO CANON I'M SORRY JESUS CHRIST a;dlfih *BRAIN EXPLODES*

- Note to self: Dooku and Obi-Wan have never met before. There goes 3948203948 of those fic ideas.

- Lucas really got convinced of the power of symbolism, didn't he? There's the scene where Anakin carries his mother's boyd back to the Lars farm, and it's a lovley analogue for when Obi-Wan carries the similarly wrapped-up Luke to those exact same buildings. And I have to admit that I'm fond of the tidea that Padme and Anakin's fates are slowly drawing together -- the first parallelism scene that we see of them is in this movie.

- Dooku rocks. There is just no doubt about it. Taking on his former master? MAN.

Obi-Wan's hair is very pettable in AotC.

Dooku is so badass. He really doesn't want to kill the Jedi. He'll do it if he has to, but he really rather would not, and GODDAMN, he is so interesting.

Yes, he is. But he's "a great-souled man in his utter ruin", if you've read Lois McMasters Bujold?

Plutarch's Lives is the one with all the scurrilous stories about various Roman historical figures, right? Could be fun.
