_oggy_ and me writing about Horatio Hornblower as a captain in a world where money doesn't exist, where food comes from nothing, and nobody has to eat ship's biscuit if they don't want to. It's all great and wonderful, or uh. Not. It's Hornblower, after all, captain of the USS Lydia, first officer Bush, tactical officer Gerard, and Ambassador Wellesley with Maria lurking in the background. :D
Really, James T. Kirk was supposed to be modeled on Hornblower, you know. Where do you think Kirk got his propensity for womanizing and going on away missions, much to the )(@*#)@(#* of his stoic second-in-command?
