- How much do I love the whole bit with Aang realizing that the way he is going to save the North Pole is not by, you know, BEING BADASS MOTHERFUCKING SUPER POWER ELEMENTAL DUDE WHUPASS, but by. You know. Actually giving weight to the stuff about Avatar being the link between the spirit and the real world.

- GUYS, THE EXPRESSION ON ZUKO'S FACE WHEN IROH TELLS HIM THAT HE IS LIKE HIS SON. JESUS BUGFUCK CHRIST. I mean, the yelled stuff takes the edge off and makes you laugh and feel OK and forget the fact that Zuko doesn't say it back to Iroh.

- I love that the show builds sympathy and interest in Zuko -- you see his struggling to get through to the city, and you're torn. Like, seriously, seriously torn.

-Zuko and Katara fighting. Oh shit, I dig it. I dig it. And the sneer in Zuko's voice when he says that Katara has a master. Oh God, also: how sad it utterly, utterly is that Zuko is so good at being a ninja and surviving

- The Face-Stealing demon. I DIG IT.

- A FIREBENDING PRODIGY AND EVERYONE ADORES HER MY FATHER SAYS SHE WAS BORN LUCKY HE SAYS I WAS LUCKY TO BE BORN I DON'T NEED LUCK THOUGH I DON'T WANT IT I'VE ALWAYS HAD TO STRUGGLE AND FIGHT

- I could watch 10,000 years of Waterbending v. Firebending action, guys. I love it so much.

- Also, the fact that they beat back the Fire Nation! They got the moon back! And yet, the episode ends on a sad motherfucking note, with Zuko just torn as fuck inside and AAAAAAAAAAZUUUULAAAA

Man, after this, I went and watched the beach episode which always makes me alternate between screaming with laughter on the couch (FLAMING VOLLEYBALL NET) and endless weeping (the closed-up house where they were haaaaaaaapppy). I love A:TLA so goddamn much.
