95% put together last night between 10PM and 2AM after wrapping up the transition cleanup on the Iron Man - Lucifer video. I loved the song in college, but hadn't thought about it in years until billytaylor listed it in the music field of a post. This isn't Tony/Obadiah in the sense that of "hay guys, let's splice in gay porn without heads or something," but when one of the main characters of a vid is as touch-feely as Obadiah is and when the vid is also set to a NIN production with David Bowie? Yeah. It's hard to avoid, so one of the alternate titles for this was "Tony Stark and the Pantload of Wrong." The other is in the credits.

Anybody who laughs at the line re: combing and hair gets a knuckle goddamn sandwich, by the way.

Oh SHIT. I'm a little in love with all the parallels you're drawing here, from the pizza/heart-ripping scene, to Tony reaching for the old heart, and then in the Iron Man suit, reaching out of the rubble. And pretty much, you know, anytime Obie is touching things. But we knew that.

GOD. The Tony-Obadiah relationship is so messed up onscreen. I mean, when I walked into the theatre, I was totally armed with the knowledge that Jeff Bridges's character was supposed to be evil, and yet, I kept being like. NO, WAIT, IS YINSEN SUPPOSED TO BE EVIL? HOW CAN OBADIAH BE EVIL? And then, uh, he kind of turned out to be. Despite the fact that he touches Tony all the time. And covers for him. And just. Gah.

In short, I'm glad the creepy and weird and the RIPPING TONY'S HEART OUT came through for you. :D

You have OUTDONE yourself this time. I dl'd this last night but didn't get to watch until a few minutes ago. And wowwowwow! So very well designed and executed. With ultimate creep factor throughout. Wonderful creep factor! Exquisite cuts.

I mean, so many things in the movie already did stuff to me (like Stane's calm, casual, off-handed demeanor when ripping out the arc reactor). You just took those parts and multiplied their horridness. Even made me feel dirty at times (like the thing with Stane sticking his hand in the opening in the Mark I). [shudders]
