Which is not to say that I don't love Mr. Cash. Or that song, which is probably one of my top ten of all time. I'm just going to finish the vid to "God's Gonna Cut You Down" if it kills me -- the first twenty seconds are, I think, the best vidding I've ever done in my long career of, um, four vids.

ALSO. Just in case you needed another heaping sreving of spam with breakfast: I realized just this morning that Tony would have been fifteen when Iran Contra broke. If you were going to ask your Dad some hard questions about the family business you'd been groomed for since you were peeing into Pampers, wouldn't that be the time?

Especially since Tony is, canon-wise, at MIT during that time. I can imagine that this topic of conversation doesn't, you know, come up for conversation around the water cooler at the Small Arms division of Stark Industries, but Tony is at college. In Massachusetts. And Tony reads as being hard-right war hawk at the beginning of the movie, but man.

I can neither confirm nor deny the hotness of the Hairpiece, but yeah. I started it as a break from matching footage to the total DOOM and GLOOM of Cash, so it was maybe 50% serious and maybe 50% knowing that I would get to trying to find footage to match "derriere," I'd just crack?

(Also, now that I've gotten a couple under my belt, I'm starting to look at that old Massive Attack - Master and Commander - Hornblower project I was blathering to you about back in the day, and I was re-watching your old vids recently.

I think you do much, much more complicated stuff than I do -- I've had so much good footage that all I need to do is find clean transition points, whereas you have to squeeze every damn last frame because the production values and Ioan Gruffudd's retard expressions, OMG.)
