Oh, Rhod.

;____;

You really know how to make a point. This is beautiful, full of your usual airy yet poignant style. You tell a story about why I love Obi-Wan so much -- it's because he suffered so much, and I do tend to love the tragic ones.

And THANK YOU. This touches a bit on parts a lively discussion I've been having these past few days, and I feel it's something of a vindication to read this. XD Obi-Wan, unlike Qui-Gon, clung to Anakin a bit too much, didn't let him think enough for himself -- I wonder if he even understood the gift Qui-Gon had given him by making him more independent, allowing him to think for himself? Then again, he was never alone, was he? He went straight from Qui-Gon to Anakin, and even though he was making decisions with Anakin, he still wasn't alone, had someone else to be with, to fall back on. Oh, Obi-Wan. *hugs him tightly* And Qui-Gon, too. *hugs him, too*

I recently watched TPM, and it makes me hurt so bad that Qui-Gon so clearly loved Obi-Wan, but never told him at the end, when Obi-Wan needed to hear it. His death scene makes me cry, just like your fic. I'm going to go slink off and shut up now, but thank you for this.
