HI, I AM LATE TO THE PARTY. PLZ TO BE DIRECTING ME TO THE CHEETOHS AND SPIKED PUNCH, KTHX.
There are so many things I want to say about this piece, all of them good. But right now I am fending off my own plotbunnies, and hip-deep in homework and other unimportant school things tied to my future, so I'm not sure I could coherently express all of them. Not that I'm particularly confident of my ability to articulate things in the best of situations, I'm afraid, but being a writer means you try anyway, and damn the consequences, right?
I really, truly love how you express Jedi philosophy in here, in particular regards to their relation in the Force. It's no secret that I adore philosophy, despite my attempts to decry it as pointless wanking, and you captured a lot of the Jedi spirit in here. I'm particularly fond of the eastern religious themes in Jedi philosophy, and when you touched on those aspects about when discussing Qui-Gon's feeling about love, I went keysmashy.
As always, your Qui-Gon is perfect, and an utter delight to read. Especially when you deal with his relationship with Obi-Wan, and those small allusions to Dooku. The connections are perfect, and the story heart-breaking. Your prose, despite your protests to the contrary, is always evocative and lyrical, but in the best sort of way.
Essentially, I ♥ you. But you knew that already. Now, onto reading the Obi-Wan version. :D
