I’ve not read any SW fic before – is it all as good as this?
Depends on the author. Rhod here has an excellent grasp of character, pace, and vocabulary, but I only go near the SW section of FF.N when I'm in the mood to mock. I would reccomend you stick with quigonejinn, tartanshell, imadra_blue, and stelli_belli if you want good SW fic.
