Looting the wounded was a masterful stroke because that shit happened all the time.
And in Flying hurt/comfort Colours he shows up with nothing, same as everyone else. And he's a big guy. I'm thinking there wasn't something hidden in the Comte's cupboard that was going to fit him as is. I'll bet those household women had to sew him up a set of regular civilians trousers and waistcoat in addition to the Dutch uniform and find one shoe to fit. :(
