The cook-housekeeper thing, yeah. That makes sense. I mostly just wanted to keep the household as tiny as possible since I'm a lazy bitch who really only wants to write about Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan and Xanatos Qui-Gon doesn't have anything in the way of cash capital or entertaining duties. And I want to convey the impression that this is a poorly run manor. Things aren't going all that well; they're just sort of, you know. Getting by when they could be much better. The place is dusty and falling apart because Qui-Gon doesn't give a damn.
If this were a really marginal holding, do you think that it'd be entirely unacceptable for Xanatos to do most of the steward's duty? There's not much to do -- help itemize the harvest and the taxes as they come in, check on the non-food supplies, etc.
