Exactly, he WOULDN'T, but I love the thought of that little moment when he thinks about it. Maybe keeps his hand on something a bit longer than necessary. Maybe feels ashamed and weak and stupidly sentimental.
And his friendship with Bush is the best thing he could have, really.
