I'd really love to write something that incorporates Bush (because, Bush!) and the H/B canon. Even just in a vague way. Just to drag out my fannish heart and stomp on it some more, hurrah! But yeah, I was thinking that to meld the movieverse and bookverse together neatly, Archie and Horatio need to go in different directions after Retribution (without the hole-in-stomach problem) and be somehow separated for Horatio to choose Bush as his first Lt on schedule. Them all meeting up again later would be really interesting. The shifted - and shifting - dynamics!
