Yeah, neotoma was just completley horrified by the notion, and it's pretty clear that the whole thing would just be absolutely awful for Obi-Wan on some level, but man oh man. The change in Obi-Wan from the end of RotS to ANH is kind of heartbreaking in and of itself. And the whole process of going ghostie -- compassion for everything, complete lack of attachment, eventual inability to manifest -- just sounds pretty shitty, too.
I'm really, really glad that you liked this. Beyond your general awesome and I'm always like :D :D :D she liked something I did :D :D :D, this started out as sort of Jedi life piece on Anakin, but it morphed into something on Obi-Wan, too, so I'm especially glad that the piece worked as a whole for you. :D
