I. Have. No. Idea. In a way, given how snarly and black and white QUi-Gon is right at teh start of TPM, I'm surprised that he managed to get to it, too, and without the benefit of eight jillion years of practice.
There's some tickling little voice in the back of my head that says QUi-Gon learned it from somebody else? That he didn't, like, come up with it entirely himself?
And my god. In that icon, Obi-Wan's hair looks uncannily like Dana Scully's. x_x
