reserve suggested it and after I bought the song of Amazon, I haven't been able to get the thought of vidding DEATHEATERSTRAVAGAAAAAAAAAANZA to "Run this Town." The only thought stopping me is the lack of a PC since my laptop kicked it, the lack of all six Harry Potter movies neatly ripped in the same format for vidding pleasure, and uh. Damn, those are unfortunately issues. But I want to! And I have been thinking about it!
2. Guys, Justified on FX is so good, guys. So, so good. The first couple episodes are sort of regular and standard and not very remarkable except being enjoyable in a trashy TV way, even though there are hints and glimmers of something better and then, bits --
AND THEN YOU GET TO THE SIXTH EPISODE.
AND IT IS ABOUT CLASS AND MEMORY AND YEARNING AND REVENGE AND MONEY AND FATHERS AND GALLOWS HUMOR AND BLACK HUMOR AND REDEMPTION AND ACTUALLY SURPRISINGLY THOUGHTFUL STUFF ABOUT HITLER. I MEAN, HOLY SHIT THIS IS WHAT THE SHOW CAN DO WITH A REGULAR OL' MOTW (MURDERER OF THE WEEK) EPISODE ON SOMETHING STUPIDLY TOPICAL LIKE PYRAMID SCHEMES? AND NAZIS. ALSO, THE DOCTOR FROM VOYAGER.
I'm on episode seven, you guys, and just marveling at the way the show manages to pace humor. There are funny things! But by the time you realize it, the show has moved on, because it's not interested in making you laugh, just in pointing out that there may be something humorous. It's amazing.
Basically: come for the hottie Timothy Olyphant and slick cinematography. Stay for the shockingly good writing.
