For every wacky AU you gift us with, each one of them is a gem, and each one is precise, specific, illuminating. They work, this works, because your vision of these characters is so complete. They come effortlessly off the page, and the reader says yes, yes, of course these are their choices, of course these are their lives, and it makes sense because Tony really would watch the tv channel of the life where he's a dinosaur, I can picture as clearly as I can picture everything in this story.
ALSO THIS: if Tony cared that much, then it would have been a whole different ballgame from the beginning :DDDDD DDDDD: YESSSS.
AND AND oh god Michael and Cecily on the tarmac meeting Tony when he comes back oh my heart all messed up and her tiny childish crush and the way she'll think of it years later and burn and burn inside.
This story could also have been titled In The Grip Of Obie's Terrifying Giant Foam Hands.
