I loved seeing Maya in this! Extremis is my favorite IM arc of ALLTIMEVER. I really liked this fic because Maya has always tread the thin ice of Evil? just like Tony. Tony had Steve to keep him from falling in, but Maya didn't really have anyone (unless you SORTA count Sal). To me she's a villain who could really have done good, but desperate times and all that. I loved how you brought us to her side of things, and I am kind of uncomfy saying I can justify her behavior just a teeny weeny bit.
Echoing the Tony Is So Lonely comment from above--my personal canon is that he doesn't NEED sex to really connect with someone. Deep down the brain is the best sex organ, and all this sleeping around is just because he can't find someone as smart as he is.
