Still stunned, and a little sad. I don't know if it will be a relief to see male Tony, with all his easy charm. I thought about a lot things while I was reading this, some of my own anger growing up, and Virginia Woolf's female Shakespeare, and how I wish there was a female Tony Stark to tell reporters to fuck off when they asked if she would settle down and find a man.

Whatever happened to Tony being pregnant? I thought that she was, the way you cut off in the first chapter, and for a lot of this chapter I was wondering if she simply hadn't been (and hadn't been raped) or she had gotten an abortion, or she was still pregnant (uh, despite drinking) or what. Did I miss something?

In retrospect, I'm a little surprised there wasn't anything between her and Yinsen.

The tone in this chapter felt a little different from the first. There was more of male Tony's mannerism in the first and that made the translation easier to imagine. This chapter was angrier I think, and a lot more tragic. Male Tony's fucked up, but he's a man in a very male world so there are guidelines for him when he needs help. This Tony feels so much more alone and misunderstood, and really just shit on. The idea of Obi molding her over the years, while perhaps also present in the other Tony, is all the more creepy when they're sexually involved.

I suppose I'll have to go check out girltony now, but I doubt anything will measure up to this gem.
