It's Pepper Tony wants these days, so her last thought should be of falling asleep out on balcony by the pool at the Malibu house, looking out at the Pacific Ocean, with her head in Pepper's lap, and Pepper's (small, girl-sized) hands in her hair.
But no, that never happened, and even if Tony Stark's heart won't let her remember love, it remembers the last time it was safe.
