Total honesty time: I swear to God that I thought in the movie they said Howard at some point? But a quick google showed me that I probably totally invented it in my head and/or read it in fanon. If movie canon hasn't said one way or the other, I think I'm free to pick what I want and have everybody just roll their eyes at me, particularly since I'm given to understand that Tony's backstory has been moved to a separate theatre and that Obadiah's backstory has been mucked with pretty intensely.
I'll probably use Edward going forward, though. Would it make you feel better if I more clearly labeled this as Movieverse Iron Man fic?
(I'm stubborn. What can I say? It took me, like, a month to accept the idea of spelling Obadiah with two a's. People had to be like, LOOK, BITCH, THAT'S HOW THEY DO IT IN BOTH COMICS AND THE KJV.)
