Tony's absolutely convinced (and usually rightly so) about his ability to deal with every situation. His genius and upbringing sense of entitlement pretty much guarantees that he revels in being godlike with no consequences to consider. A young Tony has the same reckless abandon as a Greek god, which makes Obadiah all the more remarkable for lasting as long as he did. I really still wonder what made him to decide, after all this time, that Tony Stark is no longer necessary/he doesn't want to spend the time and energy to deal with him...
I'm working on an Iron Man/Gargoyles crossover, because of course Xanatos Enterprises would have dealings with Stark Industries and very interested in Iron Man. Also, Xanatos is pretty much a more dashing version of Obadiah....
