I'm glad that the muddled-ness of the writing didn't get in the way of the Kennedy characterization -- whenever I write him, I always feel like I'm kind of flailing through the job because instead of having this grasp of him from the ground up, as you do, I figure out that Kennedy has __________ as a characteristic and just write somebody, anybody, with _________ as a characteristic.

It's wretched hard learning how to do a character, OMG. And you always make it look so effortless.
