It really is. With the crippled Archie, most of the episode being landbased in a foreign country, Hornblower guilt, etc. Even though Kitty in Midshipman coming from the common classes is canon, there is that interesting parallel again with Marie -- a Countess 'made' not born to it by right. If it had been a tighter, rougher sort of episode I probably would have liked it a whole bunch more than I do.
