1. The battle scenes do NOT get old. I love his mention of rockets in Sharpe's Tiger. XD And in Eagle (which I haven't finished because I've told you my deal with unfinished Sharpe books; and Commodore Hornblower. >.<) I loved that whole scene when the colours get stolen. It's just---so vivid. Definitely an amazing author, Cornwell. My principal (I get sent down to his office a lot, and today I was majorly kissing ass) told me he loved Cornwell's King Arthur series.
