This was mostly an excuse to watch my favorite parts of Iron Man avec ladies (Christine! Pepper! More Christine! More Pepper!) and my favorite parts of Iron Man 2 avec ladies (Maria! Black Widow! Alas, no more Maria, but lots and lots more of Black Widow!), and enjoyable bits avec gentlemen (Tony being secretly emo! Tony being openly emo! OBADIAH THE CREEPER! HAPPY PUNCHING THINGS AND BEING LESS AWESOME AT IT THAN BLACK WIDOW BUT ALMOST AS ADORABLE!) Really, though. Let's be honest. Everybody is less awesome than Christine, Pepper, Black Widow, and Maria.

Except maybe Rhodey? Possibly Rhodey.

....I think I came out of this experience you've given me shipping Black Widow/The Marvel Universe. Where is all the Black Widow Seduces Christine Everhart To Bury a SHIELD Expose fic, I ask you?!

The massive amounts of nostalgia seeing IM1 clips in this is kind of boggling. Pepper and Obie and her long, steady look in the office. The way you cut Natasha's fight in the hallway with Pepper staring Obadiah down even as he looms will forever be in my heart, Rhod.

BLACK WIDOW/CHRISTINE, OH GOD. (Also, we have never discussed Black Widow and Minnie. Michael, meeting her in the Oval Office, and her sort of amused expression taking in the way it has and hasn't changed since Eisenhower's day. Michael, recognizing her from a childhood memory of being scooped up by her and carried over to kiss his mother goodbye while Pepper was on the phone. Even the calluses in her hand are on the same place. Why didn't he notice that as a child?)

Vidding the movie gave me such massive nostalgia. It's been FOUR YEARS since it came out, but I still love it so much.
