Okay, that's heartbreaking. And (which I'm fairly sure you don't intend) reminds me that Dooku is only ten years older than Qui-Gon and that the two must have been awfully awfully awfully darn close for Qui-Gon's loss to have undone Dooku so completely he would believe there was no hope left whatsoever and so gone over to the Sith's side, even though the Sith was responsible for Qui-Gon's death.
