Freedom Hangs Like Heaven.

Iron Man set to Iron and Wine.
20MB, XviD or play in VLC

I'm going to end up recutting this when the DVD comes up because right now, there's this CERTAIN SCENE where SOME FUCKING DOUCHEBAG decides to HANG HIS FUCKING HAND off the side of the CAMERA and then some other asshole walks across andf;lkjgdf. I couldn't figure out a way to cut around it, so that scene sucks. And there's one bit where Rhodey is a talking head, but I figured that I've wasted a week of my life already on this.

So yes. Iron Man and Iron and Wine with Calexico production. And just ignore the fact that they use the wrong reign/reins on that Forbes cover. XD

Because that is one of the most powerful things in the movie, to me.

RIGHT? God, and she did it anyway. Because Pepper is damn good at her job, and despite almost jumping his bones earlier that week, she's more than able to press the button that (with the information available to her at that moment) was sure to kill him. Because Pepper is Ms. Compartmentalization and managed to set aside her personal feelings to save the day.

I don't think Tony could do what she did at the moment, at all. Because Tony takes everything personally. He's the type of personality that believes if you want something done right, you do it yourself, which is why he can make that immediate mental leap to building the damn suit and trying to become a superhero in the first place, and why he's also a little suicidal, because he asked Pepper to kill him, which wow. PTSD like WOAH.

I mean really, did she get out of and far away from the building, hide in an explosion-proof bunker, or what?

AHAHAHA. I KNOW. I still haven't been able to properly figure out how she survived that yet. But then again, I haven't yet reconciled myself with the physics of the movie that allows Tony to survive crash landing in the desert with the bucket of bolts that was the Mark I, much less slamming face first into a concrete beam during the repulsor test and emerging free of any broken bones.

Oi. I'm stressing over the physics of a superhero movie. This is not a healthy sign.

PTSD like WOAH.

Yep. Night terrors while dozing on the couch ... sending Tony into utter panic the first time she screams or can't wake up.

eeeeee, AWESOME. I am down with that. Angst is to be had for the taking in this fandom, I swear. I LOVE IT.

My pleasure! I think it's the angst and psychological train-wreck that makes me love Iron Man so much. I've never been able to get enough of that kind of thing (though I must have a little fluff now and then.)

Because that is one of the most powerful things in the movie, to me. That she did push the button when she truly thought it would kill him.

Okay, and also (this is like the first chance I have had to talk about this stuff out with other fans and I am LOVING THIS), Pepper is, like, crazy protective of Tony. Really, really, really protective. She follows him regardless of what he asks her to do on a moral level (oh dear lord, "taking out the trash"-- she's protecting him FROM THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS OWN ACTIONS, then and a lot of other times), but the one time she threatens to quit, it's because he's putting himself in mortal danger and asking her to help him and she seriously cannot deal.

Which leads me to the point in which I figure well, you do not appear to be a crazy person, and I want other IM people helping me hash out my fic, so I am going to friend you back. (Oh please don't be crazy. Or mean. Or a giant robot.)

Yes! Totally. (See my comment about her sitting on the couch when Obie came over, brought pizza, played piano, and generally ruined Tony's evening. (Actually, I still think Pepper ruined it, but ...))
