I like your backstory. I haven't read any of the SW comix, nor have I read much in the way of the EU books, but this Quinlan I can see very clearly. And I like the fact that Obi and Quinlan are brave and bold, and really, the other Padawan learners should be more like them. It would seem that having a Master who doesn't always follow or believe in the dictates of the Council is perhaps a good thing.
